Moulins Mahjoub

Les Moulins Mahjoub is a family business dedicated to the production of olive oil and other all-natural Mediterranean food products from their farm in Tebourba, Tunisia. Their thinking and philosophy calls for quality first before anything else. They make olive oil the old-fashioned way by slowly cold-pressing the olives they hand-pick. The olives are picked at their best stage of maturity, when they are half-green and half-dark. By pressing the olives at a low temperature, the antioxidant qualities are preserved. The oil then naturally separates itself from the water in the mixture and is ladeled by hand into barrels. Despite the labor intensive process, the Mahjoubs have been producing olive oil with this traditional approach for over a century now.
