This Vintage Tray of Almond Thins is made from large pastries with almond chips. These pastries are then thinly sliced before baking and cooled slowly to ensure their crispy texture. Louis Preneel was the first to invent these thin biscuits back in 1904. His biscuits were so tasty that people would travel for miles to Dunkirk, a city in Northern France. Since then, La Dunkerquoise uses the same recipe and oven to ensure the authenticity of this French specialty!
