In 1923, Jean Troubat took over the Anis de Flavigny factory from another family and began selling aniseed candies in vending machines in train and metro stations around France. Les Anis de Flavigny has been run by 3 generations of the Troubat family and is owned by Catherine Troubat since 1990.
