Salted Bourbon Goat's Milk Caramel Sauce by Fat Toad Farm
Fat Toad Farm's award-winning Original Goat's Milk Caramel Sauce is handcrafted with the combination of fresh, local milk from the nearby Vermont Creamery and pure cane sugar with a splash of Kentucky bourbon and a dash of sea salt.
Each batch is slowly cooked in a copper kettle and meticulously hand-stirred for 5 hours until velvety goodness is achieved!
This Mexican style sweet confection, also known, as cajeta is a type of dulce de leche, except creamier and more flavorful thanks to the replacement of cow's milk with goat's milk.
Compared to many caramel sauces, cajeta is also not as intensely sweet as it is dairy-based and not sugar-based.
