Bernard Le Gulvout wanted to be an “Artisan du goût” – Artisan of Taste – in France. In 1982, he created L’Epicurien and was later joined by his two nephews, Xavier and Benoit, making it a family business. L’Epicurien specializes in the making of gourmet jams and tapenades using the best possible produce, including Provence fig, onions from south of France, and apricots from Roussillon. They are known for offering unique flavors, textures and colors, which are all natural as all their spreads are made in small batches in open cauldrons.
