Damian Magista founded Bee Local in 2011 after discovering honey from hives he placed in various neighborhoods of his hometown in Portland, Oregon. He quickly learned how to listen to the bees and be patient with them. Since then, Daniel is sometimes able to approach hives without wearing a bee suit.
