Sel de Guerande is an all-natural and unrefined sea salt hand-harvested from Guerande (France) as it has been done for centuries.
Les Salines de Guerande is a cooperative of 200 salt workers committed to preserving the traditions and know-hows of hand-harvesting salt as it has been done for centuries. Each summer, the workers collect salt from the marshes of Guerande, located on the south coast of Brittany (France), and come together to pool their harvest. Since 2012, their Guerande sea salt (Sel de Guerande) and flower salt (Fleur de Sel) have obtained the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) certification. The PGI confirms that all Le Guerandais salt are 100% natural and unrefined and contains no additives.
